Press Releases

Following Skyworld Aviation's recent re-organisation, we are looking for a Market Analyst to join our small team based in Windsor, UK. The candidate will require a proven interest in aviation, an eye for detail, a good telephone manner, a team player and must have the enthusiasm to carry out their own duties as well as help in the day to day running of the office. Interest in the technical aspects of operating aircraft is required. Must be educated to degree level and speak fluent English. A second language would be an advantage. This is a 12 month placement which could develop into a permanent role so would suit student internship or post-graduate.

Skyworld Aviation is undergoing a re-organisation following Peter Greensmith’s recent decision to step back from “day to day” operations of the company and play more of a project management role. Peter who joined Skyworld Aviation from Saab Aircraft Leasing back in 2001 has been an essential part of Skyworld’s success during the last 17 years. Stepping back to run projects or specific campaigns means that Peter will remain active in the Skyworld business as well as establishing his own consultancy company, Papa Golf Aviation.

Juliet Hewitt is stepping up to the role of Marketing Director and will become significantly more involved in the day to day running of the company.

As part of ongoing lease management services for Largus Aviation AB of Sweden, Skyworld Aviation has arranged the onward lease of an ERJ 145 EP with Regourd Aviation of France. Serial number 145070 was previously in operation with a UK-based operator for 12 years as G-RJXR. It will now be operated by Aero4M of Slovenia on behalf of Regourd Aviation and will return to its original delivery registration of SE-DZA. Skyworld Aviation has provided lease management services on this aircraft since Largus Aviation took ownership in 2008.
The aircraft has operated in the UK since and we are delighted to have worked with Charles Taylor Aviation Asset Management who provided onsite technical and records representation during the lease return which facilitated a smooth transition to the new lessee.

Working in partnership with Grays Online and O’Maras, Skyworld Aviation has been selected to assist in the remarketing of two EMB 135 LR aircraft which were in operation with Jetgo Australia Holdings Pty Ltd (In Liquidation - Receivers and Managers Appointed). The aircraft are equipped with a high standard of avionics being WAAS / LPV / RNAV 5 / RNP compliant as well as having HF radio. Both have undergone an increased design weight modification which gives them a unique enhanced long range capability making them ideal multi-role aircraft.

As part of our ongoing lease management services, Skyworld Aviation is offering a well presented EASA compliant ERJ 145 EP for onward lease which has recently been returned from a UK-based airline after 12 years of service. The aircraft is being offered on behalf of the owner Largus Aviation AB of Sweden. G-RJXR (serial number 145070) is currently located in Aberdeen, UK, where it will remain under a short term storage programme after it is formally handed back to the owner.

The aircraft has recently been through a C check (approx. 100 FH flown since), and will be made available to the next operator with fresh white exterior paint. It is beautifully presented with a 48 leather seat interior, fully equipped galley with ovens, large wardrobe and drop down air stair door.

2016 is a momentous year for Skyworld Aviation as it is the 20th year of trading for the aircraft remarketing company. Skyworld Aviation began life as Skyways Aviation back in 1996 - a dedicated aircraft trading/consultancy company working for the Swedish regional airline Skyways. At the time, the airline group operated over 50 aircraft and was majority owned by the Salén family. Skyways Aviation was tasked with evaluating and remarketing surplus fleet, and sourcing aircraft on behalf of the group during a time of great expansion.

Skyworld Aviation is pleased to have kicked off the year with arranging the sale of an ERJ 145 LR, previously in operation with Aeromexico Connect. Its new owner accepted serial number 145570  on 15th January 2016 and the deal closed on 20th January. For now, the buyer remains confidential. This is Skyworld’s 91st Embraer Jet related transaction, for around 35 clients worldwide which positions us as one of the most successful independent Embraer Jet marketing specialists. We have been privileged to have set many precedents over the years with several Embraer ‘firsts’.....

Last year, Skyworld Aviation announced the sale of two Dash 8 Q400’s to a UK investment firm for onward lease. The transaction was particularly notable since it marked the 500th aircraft transaction for Skyworld - a milestone which we have since well exceeded! We are pleased to announce that the first aircraft, serial number 4354, has now been placed with Aeroflot subsidiary Aurora Airlines of Russia, and it arrived in Moscow in December. According to CH-Aviation, the aircraft will enter into operation on the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk-Tokyo Narita return route, replacing a B737. The airline has acquired a total of three Dash 8 Q400’s (sister ship serial number 4351, and ex-Eznis Airways serial number 4106).

Skyworld Aviation is pleased to have arranged the sale of an ATR 72-202, serial number 444 to Summit Air of Canada. The aircraft was delivered on 25th November 2015 and was flown to Toulouse to undergo a full cargo conversion, including the installation of a Large Cargo Door prior to it entering into operation with Summit.  The aircraft was previously registered as T7-COB and last operated with Royal Air Maroc Express.

On behalf of U.S.-based Republic Airways Holdings, the world’s largest operator of Embraer jets, Skyworld Aviation has arranged the sale of a 36-seat ERJ 135 aircraft to charter and scheduled operator JETGO of Australia. The aircraft was originally placed on lease with the airline in early 2013 alongside two other ERJ 135’s to support the local mining industry, but has recently started a scheduled service to run alongside its charter operations. From its Brisbane base, the airline serves Dubbo with six flights per week and Tamworth with seven flights per week, as well as providing services between Townsville, Rockhampton and the Gold Coast.

On behalf of Sverigeflg Leasing AB, Skyworld Aviation has finalised the sale of a Saab 340B to SOL Lineas Aereas of Argentina. Skyworld Aviation originally placed serial number 168 (LV-CSK) on lease in 2011 and the airline has exercised its right to purchase the aircraft. The operator now operates a fleet of four owned Saab 340s and one leased CRJ 200.

In a transaction arranged by Skyworld Aviation we are delighted to announce the delivery of two CRJ 700 aircraft to Estonian Air. Serial number 10085 (ES-ACF) was delivered on 2nd October and serial number 10083 (ES-ACE) on 9th October. Both CRJ 700's are already in service with the Estonian airline alongside three existing CRJ 900's.

On behalf of Sverigeflyg Leasing AB of Sweden, Skyworld Aviation is pleased to have arranged the sale of one Saab 340A Cargo aircraft, serial number 089, to Bangladesh operator Easy Fly Express Ltd. The aircraft was previously on lease to a Caribbean cargo operator (registered as 6Y-JXD) - a deal which Skyworld also arranged. The aircraft has been re-registered as S2-AIF. Easy Fly Express has until recently operated one HS 748 freighter aircraft which will be replaced by this, their first Saab 340, and the first of the type in Bangladesh. The carrier operates scheduled cargo services as well as domestic and international charter services from its Dhaka base. Serial number 089 was delivered to Dhaka over the weekend.
