Acting on behalf of Sverigeflyg Leasing AB, Skyworld Aviation has arranged the sale of one Quick Change Saab 340A, serial number 066 to Fleet Air International of Hungary. The aircraft was previously in operation with Nextjet and was delivered to its new owner last Friday. Fleet Air is primarily a cargo operator currently operating a fleet of three Saab 340A Cargo aircraft on contract and ad-hoc charters throughout Europe. The new QC aircraft will be used to back up the cargo operation and will aslo be used to develop the passenger charter market out of Budapest. Serial number 066 now bears the registration HA-TVG.
Great start to 2014! This is the first newsletter for some time, after having had a challenging but ultimately successful 2013. 2014 got off to a flying start for Skyworld Aviation, having delivered ten aircraft at the back end of December / early January. This came as a welcome ‘new beginning’ after the first few months of 2013 falling short of expectations! Whilst most were winding down, the last week of December was a hive of activity at Skyworld, and during the first quarter of 2014 we delivered three ATR 72’s, three Saab 340B’s, two Airbus A320’s, one ERJ 145 and one Jetstream 32.

Skyworld Aviation is pleased to announce the sale of an ERJ 145 to Air Taraba, Nigeria. The aircraft was delivered earlier this year. Air Taraba is a government owned state airline which is yet to start operations. The State of Taraba is situated on the Eastern side of Nigeria and is named after the Taraba river which runs through the South of the State. The aircraft will serve the State alongside an existing ERJ 145.
Acting on behalf of specialist bank and asset manager Investec, Skyworld Aviation is delighted to announce the sale of an ex-Kingfisher Airlines ATR 72-500 to South Pacific operator Air Calédonie. Serial number 759, now registered as F-ONCL, was delivered in Singapore last week after completing an extensive maintenance and refurbishment programme at Fokker Services facility there. It will depart for New Caledonia later this week.
Following Skyworld Aviation's recent re-organisation, we are looking for a Market Analyst to join our small team based in Windsor, UK. The candidate will require a proven interest in aviation, an eye for detail, a good telephone manner, a team player and must have the enthusiasm to carry out their own duties as well as help in the day to day running of the office. Interest in the technical aspects of operating aircraft is required. Must be educated to degree level and speak fluent English. A second language would be an advantage. This is a 12 month placement which could develop into a permanent role so would suit student internship or post-graduate.
Skyworld Aviation is undergoing a re-organisation following Peter Greensmith’s recent decision to step back from “day to day” operations of the company and play more of a project management role. Peter who joined Skyworld Aviation from Saab Aircraft Leasing back in 2001 has been an essential part of Skyworld’s success during the last 17 years. Stepping back to run projects or specific campaigns means that Peter will remain active in the Skyworld business as well as establishing his own consultancy company, Papa Golf Aviation.
Juliet Hewitt is stepping up to the role of Marketing Director and will become significantly more involved in the day to day running of the company.
